The Island Chief is a special purpose, shallow draft tug, rebuilt by Island Tug in
1992 for service in pushing and towing the ITB 5 on coastal fuel and equipment runs. Well known along
the coast, many communities depend upon the reliability of the Island Chief for re-supply of everything
from groceries to heavy equipment.
