The Island Tugger is an ice strengthened off shore anchor handling tug of 3000 horsepower
recently acquired by Island Tug. Originally built in 1981 for the oil exploration boom in
the Arctic, the Island Tugger has performed many long range towing assignments such as a
complete transit of the Northwest Passage, and most recently from Vancouver to Shanghai
to return with the newest of Island Tug's double hulled oil barges.
